Bright straw yellow. Accents of pear, apricot and honey glide on the tongue and leave a lingering luscious but lively mouthfeel. Made from six hectares of a local Moscato Bianco biotype planted in the 1970s; at Il Poggione, this has always been made as a sparkling Moscato d’Asti-styled wine, but differently from those wines, it has much bigger texture and riper yellow fruit and floral flavors, in keeping with the Montalcino terroir. Only 6.5% alcohol and lots of flavor: well done.
